Here are 2 new carvings --a raven and a bee.  They are quite different in terms of design.  I am not sure yet how I feel about them.  The bee legs are quite successsful but the head might be too white?   The raven might not be scary  or ragged enough--though admittedly this is hard to achieve on 6 inches of white porcelain.  Interior of the raven will be blue and the bee will be yellow.  It's been quite humid and rainy this week so mugs have stayed pretty wet.  I am several days behind though I should have everything carved tonight.  I will try to send the bisque up on Saturday and the glaze on Sunday.Tomorrow I have to meet with my Milton student to discuss the 1645 edition of poems--"On to fresh fields and pastures new"
